ATAR 99.95 | IB 45/45 | 3000 HOURS TUTORING EXPERIENCE | LEADING IB EDUCATOR
My name is Nicholas and in 2018 I achieved full marks (45/45 ATAR 99.95 EQUAL 1st IN THE WORLD) in my IB diploma. Since then, I've been a leading IB educator in Sydney and Adelaide, providing 3,000 hours of tuition to students from several diverse learning backgrounds and helping my students achieve the highest marks imaginable. In 2019, two of my students went on to achieve 44/45 (ATAR 99.85), and seven other achieved more than 40/45 in their diploma. In 2020, two of my students achieved 45/45 (ATAR 99.95), and three other students achieved a score of 44/45 in the IB. In 2021, one of my students achieved 45/45 (ATAR 99.95), and two achieved a score of 44/45 in the IB. In 2022, all my English students achieved a 7 in HL English, student achieved 45/45, and 3 of my students achieved a score of 43/45
I am very inspired by the mindset movement proposed by learning psychologists such as Carol Dweck. Therefore, as a tutor, I recognise the importance of fostering a growth mindset in my students, so that they understand that "failure is an opportunity to grow," "feedback is constructive" and that "effort and attitude determine my abilities, rather than 'natural' intelligence."
With a growth mindset, I strongly believe that any student can achieve 40+/45 in the IB, regardless of prior academic achievement.
I graduated from Trinity Grammar School, serving as the school vice-captain in 2018. As part of my IB Diploma, I achieved the highest grade of 7/7 in all of my subjects. My individual subject marks are as follows:
- Latin SL 97/100 (second highest mark ever achieved by a TGS student)
- Mathematics Studies SL 95/100
- Sports, Health and Exercise Science SL 93/100 (ranked 1st in year 11 and 12)
- Chemistry HL 84/100
- English Literature HL 84/100 (including Internal mark of 55/55 after moderation)
- Business Management HL 78/100 (ranked 1st in year 12)
- TOK A 25/30
- Extended Essay A (in English) 30/34
